The Headwaters Food Pantry (HFP) distributes food the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month for the people it serves. We have a plot in the garden that is dedicated to producing vegetables for the Food Pantry. Once gardeners start harvesting produce from our plots, some of us will have grown more than we can use ourselves. If you are one of those talented gardeners, we encourage you to share any surplus with the HFP. They love donations from our gardens!
We are trying something new this year to cut down on wasted food in the garden and to increase the food that gets sent to the HFP. Before each HFP distribution date during the growing season, Gardeners will receive an email. The email will serve as a reminder of the upcoming HFP distribution and will provide Gardeners with help picking their excess produce if they are unable to do it themselves.
If you have any questions about this contact Lynn Klemann at [email protected] OR Mary Bongratz at [email protected]
Thanks in advance for your generosity.
